The Ed and Wilma Minix/Black Witch Farm Angus Youth Scholarship provides financial assistance to students who have been members of the National Junior Angus Association (NJAA) and are enrolled or planning to enroll in any field in college.

Requirements
  • Applicants must have been a member of the NJAA in the past and presently must be a junior, regular, or life member of the American Angus Association.
  • They must be either a high school senior or already enrolled in college working full time on an undergraduate degree in any field with a GPA of 2.0 or higher and younger than 25 years of age.
  • Selection is based on those essays; academic achievement; Angus competitive activities and involvement; Angus leadership activities; FFA, 4H, and other agricultural organization involvement; other high school or collegiate organization, community, civic, and church activities; an essay on their leadership potential, career goals, and ambitions for the future, especially how they will promote, advocate, and support the Angus breed and beef cattle industry in their plans; and general effect of the application.
