Edmond A. Metzger Scholarship provides financial assistance to licensed radio amateurs who are members of the American Radio Relay League (ARRL), preferably from its central division, and interested in working on an undergraduate or graduate degree in electrical engineering.

Requirements
  • This program is open to undergraduate or graduate students at accredited institutions who are licensed radio amateurs of any class and ARRL members.
  • Preference is given to 1) residents of the ARRL central division (Illinois, Indiana, or Wisconsin) and attending school in those states; and 2) students working on a bachelor's or higher degree in electrical engineering.
  • Applicants must submit an essay on the role amateur radio has played in their lives and provide documentation of financial need.
