The Edward Yoshiharu Sakuma & Kay Kubo Sakuma Early Childhood Education Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students pursuing an Associate of Arts in teaching at Leeward Community College or a bachelor's degree in early childhood education at the University of Hawai'i-West Oahu. Candidates should be committed to teaching in the Hawai'i public school system with special consideration given to renewal applicants with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
