Emerson Foulke Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance for college to blind students from Kentucky who are majoring in fields related to aspects of perception.

Requirements
  • This program is open to students who are legally blind or visually impaired and/or eligible for services from the Kentucky Office for the Blind.
  • Applicants must be either resident of Kentucky enrolled or planning to enroll full or parttime at a college or university in any state, or residents of other states attending or accepted at a college or university in Kentucky.
  • They must be interested in working on a degree in psychology, science, research, technology, or general education.
  • They must also submit a 1,000word essay that covers the following: 1) how a National Federation of the Blind of Kentucky Scholarship would help them achieve their academic and career goals; 2) how they would like to be involved in the National Federation of the Blind of Kentucky; 3) any awards and/or honors they have received, and 4) anything else they would like us to know that will help us select our scholarship finalists for this year.
  • Finalists are required to attend and participate in the annual convention of the National Federation of the Blind of Kentucky; travel, hotel accommodations, registration fees, and banquet tickets are provided.
