Requirements

This program is open to individuals who have applied for admission to the Air Force Academy and are considered qualified but not competitive.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, high school seniors or graduates, of good moral character, between 17 and 21 years of age on July 1 of the year of potential admission to the Academy, in good physical condition, unmarried, and with no dependent children.

They must be interested in attending a selected junior college or preparatory school to enable them to meet Air Force Academy requirements.

Selection is based on motivation to enter and graduate from the USAF Academy and then follow a career as an Air Force officer; scholastic achievements; qualities of maturity, truthfulness, courage, kindliness, unselfishness, fellowship, and devotion to duty; exhibition of the moral force of character and leadership instincts, with an interest in others; and physical vigor, as shown by a fondness for, and participation and success in, sports.
