The First Catholic Slovak Union Vocational/Trade School Scholarship is offered to high school seniors, graduates, community college freshmen, or GED recipients who are attending or planning to attend a vocational or trade school. Applicants must hold qualifying reserve insurance, a JEP policy on a new policy, Juvenile Life Savings, or an annuity or Coverdell IRA with the FCSU for at least three years before April 1 of the year in which they are applying. Members of the First Catholic Slovak Union and individuals of the Catholic faith with Slovak ancestry who have a life insurance policy are welcome to apply.

Requirements

Member of the First Catholic Slovak Union & Catholic Faith who hold qualifying reserve insurance, a JEP policy on a new policy, Juvenile Life Savings, or an annuity or Coverdell IRA with the FCSU for at least 3 years

Resident of the U.S.

Attending or planning to attend a technical/trade school

High school senior, high school graduate, community college freshman, or GED recipient

Seeking a professional certification or associate degree fulltime

Studying a trade field such as automotive technology, plumbing, heating, construction, welding, or cosmetology

Slovak ancestry

Participation in church activities, community service, extracurricular activities, or leadership
