The First in the Family Humanist Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors who identify as atheist, agnostic, humanist, and/or secular and come from underrepresented and underserved groups are eligible to apply.

Requirements

Resident of the U.S.

High school senior

Seeking a professional certification, associate's, or bachelor's degree

Plan to attend a 2 or 4-year college or university

California AB 540, current DACA status, FAFSAeligible non-citizen, not a U.S. citizen, or pending DACA application

LGBTQIA+, or a historically underserved population

Participation in community service or extracurricular activities

Atheist, agnostic, humanist, and/or secular

Students are or have been in foster care, homeless, and undocumented Preference is given to students who are the first in their families to go to college.
