The Florida Eagle Scout of the Year Scholarship is available to Florida high school students who have earned the Eagle Scout award and religious emblem. Eagle Scouts who are members of a troop associated with the American Legion in Florida or a son or grandson of a member of the Legion in the state. Students planning to pursue postsecondary education are welcome to apply.

  • Active member of Boy Scouts, Varsity Scout team, Venturing Crew of a Legionnaire, Sons of the American Legion member, or Auxiliary member, or the son or grandson of a member of these organizations

  • High school freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior
  • Seeking an associate or bachelor's degree
  • Male
  • Participation in church activities, community service, or leadership
  • Received the Eagle Scout award and a Scouts BSA or Venturer Religious Emblem
