The Foster Children Education Foundation Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors or graduates in Nevada who have been in foster care and plan to attend college. Students who demonstrate financial need and academic merit are welcome to apply. Special consideration is given to students who have been in foster care in Washoe County, Nevada, as well as students with academic merit.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2.50 GPA

  • High school senior or graduate
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree
  • Conditional permanent resident or permanent resident
  • Currently in or have previously been in foster care, they were either never legally adopted or anticipate not being adopted, were adopted after the age of 13, or were placed with a family outside of Nevada after the age of 13
  • Demonstrate financial need Preference is given to students who have been in foster care in Washoe County, Nevada, as well as students with a GPA of 3.0.
