Fresh Start Scholarship provides financial assistance to women from Delaware who have experienced an interruption in their education and are interested in attending college in the state.

Requirements

This program is open to women who are residents of Delaware or have been employed in the state for at least the past 12 months, are at least 20 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, and have been admitted to an accredited Delaware college in a 2- or 4-year undergraduate degree program.

Applicants must have had at least a 2year break in education either after completing high school or during college studies.

They must have at least a "C" average if currently enrolled in college and be recommended by a social service agency (or a college representative if a social service agency is not available).

U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is required.

Selection is based on academic qualifications, personal challenges, and financial needs.
