Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
  • Applicants must have been accepted into a 4year bachelor's degree program in a field of study related to the environment (e.g., chemistry, biology, environmental sciences, environmental engineering, civil engineering, chemical engineering, natural resources planning).
  • Selection is based on academic achievement; leadership and community service; level of commitment to environmental protection, as demonstrated by the essay and stated career goals; and overall presentation, including an emphasis on science courses, the relevance of the program of study, sincerity of commitment, and demonstration of special need.
