Garden Clubs of Illinois Scholarship provides financial assistance to residents of any state working on an undergraduate or graduate degree in a field related to gardening at a school in Illinois.

Requirements

This program is open to residents of any state enrolled as junior, senior, or graduate students at an accredited college or university in Illinois.

Applicants must be working full time on a degree in agriculture education, agronomy, biology, botany, city (urban and rural) planning, environmental concerns (conservation, engineering, management), floriculture, forestry, habitat or forest systems ecology, horticulture, land management, landscape design, plant pathology or science, wildlife science, or a related subject.

They must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and have a GPA of 3.25 or higher.

Selection is based on that letter (30%), academic record (40%), extracurricular activities and work experience (10%), financial need (15%), and recommendations (5%).
