GAWP H2Opportunity Scholarship provides financial assistance to undergraduate students who are residents of Georgia or attending college in the state and preparing for a career in the water profession.

Requirements
  • This program is open to 1) residents of Georgia interested in attending a recognized college, university, or technical training school in any state; and 2) residents of other states attending an institution in Georgia.
  • Applicants must be working on or planning to work on an undergraduate degree to prepare for a career in the water profession.
  • Neither they nor their parents may have an individual membership in the Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP) and they may not work for a corporate or utility member of that association.
  • Selection is based on that essay, academic record (measured by GPA and SAT/ACT scores for students entering 4year schools), extracurricular and civic activities, and community service.
  • Work experience or an internship in a waterrelated field is recommended but not required.
