The George E. McGuire Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance for graduate nursing education to members of the National Black Nurses Association (NBNA) who can demonstrate a focus on social justice.

Requirements
  • Enrolled in a nursing degree program with at least 1 full semester or quarter of school remaining.
  • Seeking a master's or doctoral degree.
  • Member of NBNA (an associaton of African American nurses).
  • Demonstrate a focus on social justice by working with others so that health care access and positive health outcomes are achieved for all of society.
  • Participate in community service and extracurricular activities.
  • Involved in activities impacting on the health and social condition of African Americans and other culturally diverse groups.
