The GlaxoSmithKline Women in Science Scholars Program is awarded to full-time female students attending Appalachian State University. Students pursuing a degree and planning a career in the sciences are encouraged to apply. Special consideration is given to female freshman students eligible to receive the award in coming years, followed by sophomores, then juniors and seniors who have not received awards in previous years.
