The Harry W. Clarke Memorial Scholarship Program – William A. Hart Award recognizes graduating high school seniors from western North Carolina who have financial need. Students who are seeking an associate degree, engage in community service and extracurricular activities, demonstrate moral character, and showcase academic achievement are encouraged to apply.

  • Resident of 29-county Western North Carolina region
  • Graduating senior attending the NC School of Science and Mathematics, the UNC School of the Arts High School, or a North Carolina registered home school who has a permanent home in the 29county region, North Carolina
  • Seeking a professional certification or associate degree
  • Participation in community service, extracurricular activities, or work
  • Exhibit strong moral character and academic achievement
  • Demonstrate financial need
