The Harry W. Clarke Memorial Scholarship Program – William A. Hart Award recognizes graduating high school seniors from western North Carolin. Students who are seeking a professional certification or associate degree, engage in community service and extracurricular activities, demonstrate moral character, and showcase academic achievement are encouraged to apply.

  • Attending the NC School of Science and Mathematics, the UNC School of the Arts High School, or a North Carolinaregistered home school that has a permanent home in the 29-county region, North Carolina

  • Seeking a professional certification or associate degree
  • Plan to attend a twoyear community college in North Carolina
  • Participation in community service, extracurricular activities, or work
  • Exhibit strong moral character and academic achievement
