Hatton W. Sumners Foundation Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors who participate in programs of the Texas Interscholastic League Foundation (TILF) and plan to major in political science or history at a college in the state.

Requirements

This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Texas who have competed in a University Interscholastic League (UIL) academic state meet (participation in athletic or music contests does not qualify).

Applicants must be planning to attend a 4year college or university in the state and major in government, political science, or history.

U.S. citizenship is required.
