Requirements
  • This program is open to residents of Hawaii who are enrolled or planning to enroll full-time at an accredited 2- or 4-year college, university, or vocational school in any state.
  • Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Priority is given to members of the Hawaiian Civic Club of Honolulu and their families; membership in the club is limited to persons of Native Hawaiian descent (descendants of the aboriginal inhabitants of the Hawaiian Islands prior to 1778).
  • The club's founding objectives are to elevate the social status of Hawaiians, elevate the intellectual status of Hawaiians, and increase pride in race heritage and Hawaiian identity.
  • Selection is based on the quality of the essays, academic standing, financial need, and the completeness of the application package.
