The H.B. and Ellen B. Wharton Scholarship supports graduating seniors from high schools in Roanoke City and Roanoke County, Virginia. Students seeking an associate or bachelor's degree who have financial need are welcome to apply, particularly those planning to attend Virginia Tech or any of the Virginia State teachers’ colleges and students of the Christian Scientist faith.
