The Headwaters Soil & Water Conservation District Scholarship supports high school seniors and college undergraduates from Augusta County, Staunton, or Waynesboro, Virginia who plan to further their education in environmental protection or natural resource conservation. Students who show proven academic achievement and an active interest in conservation are welcome to apply.

Requirements
  • Minimum 3.00 GPA, **OR**
  • Top 20% of class
  • Reside or attend school within the boundaries of the Headwaters SWCD: Augusta County, the City of Staunton, and the City of Waynesboro, Virginia
  • High school senior, community college student, college freshman, sophomore, or junior
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree fulltime
  • Pursuing studies in fields related to natural resource conservation and environmental protection
  • Exhibit an active interest in conservation Preference given to students who have not previously received a Headwaters SWCD scholarship.
