The Helen M. McLoraine Scholarship recognizes students who are foster care alumni or are in the process of completing emancipation from the Colorado foster care system. Applications will be reviewed for academic achievement, financial need, motivation, and potential for success. Students who are under the age of 25 are encouraged to apply.

  • Resident of Colorado
  • Emancipated or in the process of emancipating from the Colorado foster care system
  • Minimum of 24 months, between the ages of 13 and 21, in the foster care system in Colorado
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree
  • Aged 25 or younger
  • Demonstrate financial need
