The Helios Education FDN First Generation Scholarship is open to Florida residents who are first-generation college students at the University of Central Florida. Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree are encouraged to apply. Special consideration is given to students pursuing a degree in education to become teachers in Florida and to recipients of the First-Generation Grant.

  • Undergraduate student
  • Seeking a bachelor's degree full or parttime
  • Studying in a field offered in the College of Community Innovation and Education
  • U.S citizen or eligible noncitizen
  • Firstgeneration college student, has not defaulted on any prior aid program, and has attempted no more than 132 credit hours
  • Demonstrate financial need Preference is given to students pursuing a degree in education with the goal of becoming teachers in the state of Florida and recipients of the FirstGeneration Grant.
