About the Scholarship

The Heroes' Legacy Scholarship Program is available for children of fallen or disabled military service members of all branches, including the Reserves, the National Guard, and retired members (on or after September 11, 2001). Applicants will be selected based upon work experience, academic achievement, and volunteer activities. Students who plan to seek a bachelor's degree (including those entering a community college and transferring to a 4-year school) are welcome to apply.

Requirements
  • Child of a fallen or disabled service member (on or after September 11, 2001)
  • Unmarried, dependent child
  • Possess a valid U.S. Uniformed Services ID card or a DoD dependent ID
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (high school applicants) **or**
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA (college applicants)
  • Seeking a bachelor's degree as a fulltime student
