Requirements

This program is open to residents of South Carolina who are high school seniors, undergraduates, or master's degree students.

Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll fulltime at a college, university, or technical school in any state and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

They must be interested in working on a degree in agriculture, agronomy, botany, city planning, floriculture, historic preservation, horticulture, land management, landscape design, plant pathology, or related fields.

Selection is based on that essay (25%), academic record (40%), a list of honors, extracurricular activities, and work experience (13%), financial need (15%), recommendations (5%), and conformance with application instructions (2%).

U.S. citizenship is required.
