The Hoʻomākaʻikaʻi Named Endowment Scholarship is awarded to full-time juniors and above studying for a degree relating to Hawaiian culture or education. Former Kamehameha Schools Hoʻomākaʻikaʻi Program participants and encouraged to apply. It is the policy of the Foundation to give preference to students of Hawaiian ancestry to the extent permitted by law.

Requirements
  • Resident of the U.S.
  • College junior, senior, or graduate student
  • Graduate of Kamehameha Schools in Hawaii and participant in its Hoʻomākaʻikaʻi Program
  • Seeking a bachelor's or graduate degree in Hawaiian studies, Hawaiian language, or education with an emphasis on Hawaiian studies or language
  • Fulltime student
  • Attending a college or university in Hawaii
  • Participation in community service or extracurricular activities Preference is given to students of Hawaiian ancestry to the extent permitted by law.
