The Hopkins and Ray Engineering and Technology Scholarship supports incoming freshmen at Western Carolina University. Students studying engineering, engineering technology, or STEM-related disciplines are welcome to apply. Special consideration is given to students with FIRST Robotics experience, pursuing engineering or engineering technology, and demonstrating leadership potential.

  • Planning to attend Western Carolina University Preference is given to students who demonstrate participation and success in FIRST Robotics competitions, pursue an engineering or engineering technology major within the College of Engineering and Technology, and demonstrate potential and desire to lead FIRST efforts within the Kimmel School at Western Carolina University.
