The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Houston Area Scholarship recognizes graduating seniors from a high school in Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery, or Waller counties, in Texas. Students who demonstrate merit through academic standing, leadership skills, and community service and are seeking a bachelor's degree at a not-for-profit college or university in Texas are welcome to apply.

Requirements

Minimum SAT composite score of 950 or minimum ACT composite score of 19

Top 50% of class

Attend an approved high school in one of the Houstonarea school districts in Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery, or Waller counties, Texas

High school senior
