The Howard P. Rawlings Guaranteed Access (GA) Grant​ is available to residents of Maryland who are either graduating high school seniors or younger than 26 and have obtained a GED. Students who are planning to attend a 2-4 year college or university in Maryland are eligible to apply. Recipients are chosen for their demonstration of financial need.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA for high school seniors, **or**
  • Minimum score of 165 per module on the diploma (GED) examination
  • Resident of Maryland
  • Graduating high school senior who has completed a college preparatory program **or**
  • GED recipient aged 25 or younger
  • Seeking an associate or bachelor's degree in Maryland as a fulltime student
  • Demonstrate financial need
