The Hsiao Memorial Social Sciences Scholarship is available to graduate students attending a college or university in the U.S. Students pursuing a graduate degree in social sciences. Students seeking a degree in economics and studying topics that benefit those in social/economic need, especially Asian and Asian-American communities, receive special consideration. Students of Asian heritage and those who struggle to obtain an education during financial uncertainty also receive special considetaton.

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Seeking a graduate degree in the social sciences
  • Graduate student attending a college/university in the U.S. as a fulltime student
  • U.S. citizen, resident, or foreign national
  • Demonstrate financial need Preference is given to students seeking a degree in economics and studying topics that benefit those in social/economic need, especially Asian and AsianAmerican communities. Preference is also given to students of Asian heritage and those who struggle to obtain an education during financial uncertainty.
