The Hugh M. Tomberlin Scholarship (Engineering and Technology) supports students at Western Carolina University. Students studying a program in the College of Engineering and Technology who demonstrate academic achievement are welcome to apply, particularly students from Yancey County, then Rockingham County, followed by graduates of Asheville High School, Asheville, North Carolina, or other western North Carolina counties as well as students who demonstrate community service and financial need.
