The I Mua Mälama JROTC Kaʻawaloa Takemoto Scholarship is awarded to graduating JROTC Cadets from Farrington High School and/or Nanakuli High School in Hawaii who demonstrate moral character and Army values. Students who have completed a minimum one-year JROTC program and held a leadership position are encouraged to apply. It is the policy of the Foundation to give preference to students of Hawaiian ancestry to the extent permitted by law.

Requirements
  • Completed at least a 1-year JROTC program and held a leadership position
  • Minimum 2.00 GPA
  • Resident of the U.S.
  • Graduating senior from Farrington and/or Nanakuli high schools in Hawaii.

  • Seeking an associate or bachelor's degree
  • Participation in community service or extracurricular activities Preference is given to students of Hawaiian ancestry to the extent permitted by law.
