The IABA Scholarship provides financial assistance to students of African descent who are interested in attending college or preparing for an actuarial career. High school seniors or undergraduate students seeking a bachelor's degree are welcome to apply.

  • Minimum 3.00 GPA
  • Resident of the U.S. or Canada
  • High school senior or undergraduate student
  • Seeking a bachelor's degree
  • Attending or planning to attend school in the U.S. or Canada
  • Planning a career in actuarial sciences
  • Citizen or permanent resident of the U.S., Canada, or any Caribbean or African nation
  • African American or Black, and with Jamaican, Caribbean, or African ancestry
  • Attempted or passed an actuarial examination AND Completing or completed Validation by Educational Experience (VEE) requirements
