ICF Beef Scholarship Extravaganza recognizes and rewards (with college scholarships) students from Iowa who participate in a national beef judging competition.

Requirements
  • This competition is open to juniors and seniors at high schools in Iowa who are planning to attend a college or university in any state.
  • Entries may be submitted by teams of 2 or 3 students.
  • Team members do not need to be from the same high school or county.
  • Teams work through 10 stations in a 25minute rotation.
  • The stations cover a broad range of cattle management practices and include handling and health, nutrition, marketing, seedstock merchandising, keepcull replacement heifers, job interview, beef industry issues and advocacy, reproduction, credit and finance, and beef management.
  • Teams must pay an entry fee of $200.
