Illinois Scholarship for Dependents of Police or Fire Officers provides financial assistance to the children or spouses of disabled or deceased Illinois police or fire officers who plan to attend college or graduate school in the state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to the spouses and children of Illinois police and fire officers who were at least 90% disabled or killed in the line of duty.
  • Applicants must be enrolled on at least a halftime basis in either undergraduate or graduate study at an approved Illinois public or private 2- or 4-year college, university, or hospital school.
  • They need not be Illinois residents at the time of application.
  • U.S. citizenship or eligible noncitizen status is required.
