Imperial Valley Kennel Club Scholarship provides financial assistance to residents of Imperial County, California who are attending or planning to attend a college or university in any state to work on a degree in a field related to animals.

Requirements
  • This program is open to residents of Imperial County, California who are 1) high school seniors planning to enroll full time at a college or university in any state and work on a degree in a field related to animals (e.g., animal health technology, animal husbandry, biology, entomology, veterinary medicine, zoology); 2) undergraduates enrolled in an animal health technician program at a school in any state; or 3) students enrolled in a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program in any state.
  • Applicants must submit 1) an essay on why dogs are important to humans; and 2) an autobiography that includes their personal and educational background.
  • Selection is based on those essays and letters of recommendation.
  • For high school seniors, GPA and extracurricular activities are also considered.
