Iowa Farm Bureau Federation Scholarship provides financial assistance for college to children of members of the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation (IFBF) interested in studying an agricultural-related field in college.

Requirements
  • This program is open to the children of members of the federation who are planning to attend or are currently attending an accredited college, university, or community college.
  • Applicants must be working toward a degree in 1 of the following occupational areas related to agriculture: production (e.g., animal science, dairy science, equine science, veterinary science); agricultural products and processing (e.g., food science, nutritional sciences); agribusiness; agricultural research (e.g., biofuels, biorenewables, genetics); conservation and natural resources (e.g., environmental studies, wildlife ecology and conservation); economics (e.g., agricultural economics, public service and administration in agriculture, global agricultural studies); education (agricultural education and studies for elementary or secondary teachers only); environmental systems (e.g., wind turbine energy, mechanical engineering); forestry (e.g., natural resources, ecology, forestry management); horticulture (e.g., agronomy, landscape architecture); mechanization (e.g., agricultural systems technology, agricultural engineering); or nursing (B.S.N. or R.N. for work in rural communities only).
  • Selection is based on an essay on their professional goals and objectives, academic performance and honors, ACT or SAT score, class rank, 2 letters of recommendation, and financial need.
