The Irene S. Wischer Education Foundation Scholarship was established in 2007 by Mrs. Irene S. Wischer, a highly respected San Antonio businesswoman and philanthropist. Scholarships are awarded to students who are legal residents of Texas and demonstrate financial need. The scholarship can be used towards a certificate, associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree. Students who are Christians and attend church regularly receive special consideration.

  • Legal resident of Texas for 12 consecutive months prior to completing the scholarship application
  • Seeking a professional certification, undergraduate, or graduate degree at a notfor-profit institution
  • Enrolled as a fulltime undergraduate or full- or part-time graduate student
  • U.S. citizen
  • Exhibit academic potential, ability, and good character
  • Demonstrate financial need Preference is given to students who are Christians and attend church regularly.
