Requirements
  • This competition is open to graduating high school seniors who are of at least 25% Italian descent.
  • Applicants must submit 1) an essay of 500 to 750 words on the research they have conducted on their Italian family history, including how they did their research and found the information they used; 2) a family story that includes their life in Italy, travel to the United States, experiences here, and related information; and 3) a family tree.
  • Selection is based on the research report (40%), the family story (20%), and the family tree (40%).
