Jacqueline Saracino Scholarship provides financial assistance to residents of California in the Los Angeles area who are members of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) and interested in further training in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to California residents who are AND members within its Los Angeles District and 1) entering the first or second year of an accredited Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) program in any state; 2) entering at least the second year of an accredited Coordinated Program (CP), a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD), or an accredited graduate program in any state; or 3) accepted to an accredited Supervised Practice Program in any state to begin within 6 months.

They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and be able to demonstrate financial need and community involvement either within or outside of the area of nutrition.

Selection is based on that letter (15%), academic ability (25%), work or volunteer experience (15%), letters of recommendation (15%), extracurricular activities (5%), and financial need (25%).

U.S. citizenship is required.
