About the Scholarship

The Jane Kent Hedges Scholarship is open to members of the Beta Sigma chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta at Southern Methodist University in Texas. Members pursuing an undergraduate degree are encouraged to apply. If no undergraduate member applies, the award is available to senior collegian and alumna members of the Beta Sigma chapter pursuing a graduate degree. If no member of the Beta Sigma chapter applies, the award is available to members of the Gamma Phi chapter at Texas Tech University pursuing an undergraduate degree. If no undergraduate member of the Gamma Phi chapter applies, the award is available to members of that chapter pursuing a graduate degree. If no graduate member of the Gamma Phi chapter applies, the award is available to any member of any chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.
