Janelle Downing Memorial 4-H Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors in Missouri who are 4-H members and planning to major in a field related to animal science in college.

Requirements

This program is open to active Missouri 4-H members who are high school seniors with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and planning to major in pre-veterinary medicine or animal science in college.

Preference is given to students planning to enroll at the College of Agriculture of the University of Missouri at Columbia.

If no suitable applicant is found, consideration is given to students enrolling at an accredited public 4year college or university in any state.

Home school students must also submit ACT or SAT scores.

Selection is based on 4H achievement in leadership, citizenship, community service, and projects (70%); financial need (20%); and career goals (10%).
