The Janet L. Coyle Memorial Scholarship supports undergraduate students in at least their second year and graduate students who are preparing for careers in special education as licensed teachers or intervention specialists. Students pursuing this path at a postsecondary institution in Ohio or Michigan are particularly encouraged to apply.

Requirements
  • Resident of the U.S.
  • College sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student with 24 credit hours towards an education degree, and at least 3 completed credit hours in special education, intervention services, or similar courses
  • Seeking an associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree
  • Studying education with a minor in special education, intervention specialist, or similar field
  • Planning for a career as a licensed special education teacher or intervention specialist
  • Demonstrate financial need Preference given to students attending school in Michigan or Ohio.
