About the Scholarship

The Janet Williams Bloodgood Endowment for Reading and Children's Literature Scholarship is awarded to graduate students attending Appalachian State University. Students pursuing a degree in reading education are encouraged to apply. Special consideration is given to students who demonstrate financial need who have been or currently are teaching, followed by students who demonstrate an interest in children's literature.
