The Javus B. Fortmann Scholarship program awards need-based scholarships to seniors graduating from a high school in Arizona and seeking a degree in education or an education-related field at a community college or university in the state. Students graduating from a high school in the Verde Valley (Sedona, Cottonwood, Clarkdale, Camp Verde) or northern Arizona (Flagstaff and surrounding area) and students attending Northern Arizona University receive special consideration.

Requirements

Minimum 2.5 GPA

Graduating senior from a high school in Arizona

Studying for a degree in education or an educationrelated field

Seeking an associate or bachelor's degree in Arizona as a fulltime student

U.S. citizen

Demonstrate financial need Preference is given to students graduating from a high school in the Verde Valley (Sedona, Cottonwood, Clarkdale, Camp Verde) or northern Arizona (Flagstaff and surrounding area) and to students attending Northern Arizona University.
