The Jim Campbell Trade or Vocational School Scholarship is available to residents of West Virginia who are graduating high school seniors. Students planning to enter a vocational/trade school to study trades, including (but not limited to) machinist, welding, mechanic, electrician, plumbing, truck driver, HVAC, or refrigeration are welcome to apply. Graduating seniors from Man Senior High School and Logan Senior High School, and graduating seniors from Mingo and Wyoming counties receive special consideration. Students with a parent or caregiver who works (or worked) in the coal mining industry also receive additional consideration.

Requirements
  • GPA between 2.50 - 3.25
  • High school senior attending school in West Virginia
  • Seeking a professional certification
  • Studying in science, engineering, math, computer science, information technology, medical, or accounting or trades such as machinist, welding, mechanic, electrician, plumbing, truck driver, HVAC, or refrigeration
  • Demonstrate financial need First preference is given to graduating seniors from Man Senior High School. Second, to graduating seniors from Logan Senior High School, third, to seniors from Mingo and Wyoming counties, West Virginia. Additional preference is given to students with a parent who works or has worked in the coal mining industry.
