Requirements

This program is open to residents of Kern County, California who are graduating high school seniors or undergraduates currently enrolled full-time at a college or university in any state.

Applicants must intend to major in agriculture or a related field (e.g., food science, fiber crops, animal science, nutrition, soil science, genetic research in crops or animals).

They must have maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher in each of their last 2 years in school.

An interview may be required.

Financial need is considered in the selection process.
