The Joel & Linda Beren Jewish Communal Service Scholarship is offered to members of Sigma Alpha Mu who are undergraduate sophomores, juniors, or seniors. Students participating in service and leadership activities related to Hillel in Columbus, Ohio, or the broader Jewish community are encouraged to apply. This program is open to members of the Mu Chi, Sigma Zeta, or Sigma Beta chapters, with special consideration given to members of the Sigma Beta chapter.

Requirements
  • Fully initiated member of Sigma Alpha Mu - Sigma Beta, Sigma Alpha Mu - Mu Chi, or Sigma Zeta chapters in good standing
  • Minimum 2.00 GPA
  • Resident of the U.S.
  • College sophomore, junior, or senior
  • Seeking a bachelor's degree
  • Participate in community service related to Hillel in Columbus, Ohio or the broader Jewish community Preference is given to members of the Sigma Beta chapter.
