The John and Abigail Adams Scholarship is available to students who score in the advanced category on the 10th grade Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) test. Eligible students are identified during their senior year. Recipients of this scholarship have up to six years following high school graduation to utilize these funds.

Requirements
  • Resident of Massachusetts
  • High school sophomore, junior, senior, or undergraduate student
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree
  • Fulltime student
  • Attending or planning to attend an eligible public institution in Massachusetts
  • U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or U.S. national
  • Score in the Advanced category on one of three high school state assessment tests in English Language Arts, Mathematics, or STE (Biology, Chemistry, Introductory Physics or Technology/Engineering) and have a combined MCAS score on these assessments that ranks in the top 25% in their school district
  • Not be in default with applicable law regarding any federal or state student education loans for attendance at any institution or owe a refund for any previous financial aid received
