The following categories of people are strongly encouraged to apply: people of color, members or descendants of members of the John Gloucester Memorial Presbyterian Church in Boston, residents of the Mission Hill area of Boston, members of the Presbyterian Church (USA), those who desire to attend a Presbyterian Church (USA) educational institution, and those who can demonstrate knowledge of the history of the John Gloucester Memorial Presbyterian Church.
