John L. Dales Transitional Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) who wish to return to school to obtain additional training to broaden or change their careers.

Requirements
  • Applicants must have been members of SAG-AFTRA for at least 10 years, are at least 23 years of age, and have earned an aggregate of at least $225,000 from work under SAG jurisdiction or 10 pension credits.
  • Applicants must be planning to enroll fulltime at an accredited college, university, specialty/adult school, or vocational/trade school in order to prepare for a career in related professions within the entertainment industry or change their career paths.
